Tap-In Guidelines & FAQ
Tap-In is where MyCaddiPro golfers share their rounds, great shots, courses, gear and the 19th Hole. Keep it about golf, post what is yours, and treat people the way you would in your fourball.
AI reviews what you post. Every photo you upload — and several frames of every video — is reviewed by AI (Google's Gemini) before it appears on Tap-In, the 19th Hole or your profile. If the AI finds nudity, sexual content, violence, gore, hate symbols or anything else that isn't allowed, the upload is refused. We may also use AI to help review captions, comments and posts that members report. People at MyCaddiPro make the final decision on reports and appeals.
Inappropriate content and unlicensed material will be taken down. That includes music or other audio you don't own added to a video. Accounts that keep breaking these guidelines will be restricted or closed.
What to post
- Your rounds — attach the round from the app and it gets a Verified badge.
- Great shots, putts, chip-ins and hole-in-ones — photos, or a video up to 15 seconds.
- Courses, conditions, views and the clubhouse.
- Your caddy — a great loop, a new caddy you'd recommend. Ask her before you post her photo.
- Your gear, and good times at the 19th Hole with your group.
What is not allowed
- Unlicensed material: photos, videos, TV broadcasts or music that aren't yours. Videos keep only the sound your phone recorded — no added songs or soundtracks.
- Nudity or sexual content, or anything sexualising anyone. Anything involving a minor in an unsafe or sexual context is removed and reported.
- Violence, gore, hate, threats, harassment or bullying — including in comments and mentions.
- Other people's private information (phone numbers, addresses, messages), and clear photos or videos of people who asked not to be posted.
- Impersonation, fake accounts and false scores.
- Spam and selling — list gear and services in the 19th Hole, which puts them on the wall for you.
- Anything that isn't about golf, the course or golf life.
How we enforce it
- Every photo — and several frames of every video — is reviewed by AI before it is posted, and refused if it breaks these guidelines.
- Anyone can report a post: ⋯ → Report. A post reported by several members is hidden straight away while it is reviewed.
- We may remove a post, mute a video's sound, hide a post from the feed, or restrict or close an account.
- Copyright complaints follow our takedown process, including counter-notices if something was removed by mistake.
FAQ
Who can see my posts?
Members of MyCaddiPro. Choose "Followers only" when you post and only the golfers who follow you (and you) see it in the app. Your society is never shown to other people on your profile.
What does the Verified badge mean?
The post has a round attached that was recorded in MyCaddiPro. The score is read from that round every time the post is shown, so it can't be typed or changed. Team formats like scrambles are marked as team rounds.
How long can a video be?
Up to 15 seconds. Longer clips can be trimmed in your phone's gallery first. Your phone shrinks the clip to 720p before it uploads, so it is quick to send and to watch.
Can I add music to my video?
No. Only the sound your phone recorded — the strike, the ball dropping, your group. Music you don't own is a copyright problem and the video will be muted or removed. You can also post a video with Sound off.
Does AI look at my photos and videos?
Yes. Before anything is posted, each photo and several frames from each video are sent to Google's Gemini AI service, only to check them against these guidelines. If the check fails, or can't be completed, the upload doesn't go through. We may also use AI to help review captions, comments and reported posts; a person at MyCaddiPro decides what happens to a report.
Is my location shared?
No. Photos are redrawn on your phone before upload, which removes the location and other hidden data from the file.
Can I edit or delete a post?
Yes. On your post tap ⋯ → Edit post (caption, tags, photos or video, who sees it) or Delete post. Edited posts show "Edited".
How do mentions and likes work?
Type @ and a name to tag a golfer — they see it in Activity. Tap "Liked by …" under a post to see who liked it. Names shown there are always real members.
My post was removed. What can I do?
If you think it was a mistake, tell us in the app under Messages → Reports. If it was removed after a copyright notice, send a counter-notice on the copyright page.
How do I report something?
On the post tap ⋯ → Report and pick the reason: not about golf, offensive, spam, music or copyright, or something else. Rights holders who aren't members can use the copyright page.
Can I sell gear on Tap-In?
List it in the 19th Hole. Active listings appear on the Tap-In wall automatically with their price, and buyers message you from there.
Does MyCaddiPro sell my photos?
No. You keep ownership of what you post. We only use it to run the service, as set out in the Terms of Service.
